Human Powered Vending Machine

Just when you thought you’d seen it all…

I, for one, welcome our new computer overlords.

This vending machine dispenses hamburgers. Or hamburger.


That’s because it only holds one hamburger (so don’t bother to put in a second coin!) and is operated by the man that owns the restaurant where it’s located.



Each hamburger is made by hand and around 20-30 people are serviced daily from the machine. We have a video of it in action after the jump.

Welcome to Japan, home of anything in a vending machine. We’re going to spotlight one a week. Check this out! This vending machine dispenses live crabs! They are stored in hibernation at 5 decrees Celcius in little capsules and guaranteed fresh (or you get three free!) I want a Live Crab Claw Machine! Wait.. This is Japan! They have those too!!! Just when you thought you’d seen it all…

In a move that is sure to confuse even the brightest lawyers.  Food retailer KFC is suing themselves..

“The KFC National Council and Advertising Cooperative Inc., the designer of marketing programs for the world’s most popular chicken restaurant chain, says that Roger Eaton, KFC’s president and chief concept officer since 2008, is promoting grilled chicken over the chain’s more traditional product.”
